This is an original copper enameled wall sconce made in the 1960s by the late Garland Faulkner of Miami Florida.
Sculpted and executed to look like the Monstera deliciosa (Swiss cheese plant / hurricane plant) this artist signed enameled copper wall sconce light sculpture is magnificent. The color depth achieved through heating the copper makes it look so close to the real plant while maintaining the appeal of sculpted metal. While this piece leans toward Brutalist, its subtle beauty pulls it away from the style a bit. A truly stand alone piece and one we’ve never seen before.
